JSC Transneft North participated in the Komi Republic National Economy Achievement Exhibition

JSC Transneft North participated in the exhibition of achievements and capacities of regional economy sectors “Legacy of the North” held in Syktyvkar on August 20th, 2017 during the celebration of the 96th anniversary of the region. This year the exhibition featured products, goods, services and achievements of over 100 enterprises and organizations of the Komi Republic.


     JSC Transneft North presented models clearly demonstrating the company's production activities. One of the models was a steel vertical tank with a capacity of 50 thousand cubic meters.  The model of the floating roof tank was presented with photographic accuracy in the form of a cross-section and attracted attention of specialists from universities and representatives of enterprises from the oil and gas sector. 

     A diorama demonstrating the repair of a main oil pipeline including spool cutout featuring numerous items of machinery was appreciated by the young visitors of the exhibition and their parents. The guests were also provided with information on professions in the field of pipeline transportation and the areas of production activity of the enterprise.

     The exposition of JSC Transneft North was also visited by Head of the Komi Republic Sergey Gaplikov. Andrey Shvets, Deputy Director General of JSC Transneft North, gave a brief presentation on the models and early achievements of the company to Head of the region.

      "The principal treasure of any enterprise is its employees who are professionals in their respective fields. Vitaly Lobzhanidze, electric and gas welder of JSC Transneft North took second place in the All-Russian competition of welders this year and won a prize at an international tournament. The PJSC Transneft team took first place in the international contest of professionals "Best in Profession", having won in all nominations. A half of the team is represented by Transneft North specialists, as noted by Andrey Shvets.

     In addition, three advanced classes and physical laboratories have been established this year in Sindor village, Mikun and Ukhta cities of the Komi Republic with the support of Transneft. Today the company is planning to arrange a similar class in the city of Usinsk. All schools are located in the areas of production activities of JSC Transneft North.

      Minister of Industry, Natural Resources, Energy, and Transport of the Republic of Komi Nikolai Gerasimov particularly noted the accident-free operation of JSC Transneft North at the closing ceremony of exhibition of achievements and capacities of regional economy sectors “Legacy of the North.”

     “There have been no accidents at the enterprise’s facilities for several years. Today it is rightfully considered as one of the leading companies in the industry in terms of environmental friendliness and labor safety of its employees”, noted Nikolai Gerasimov presenting exhibition participation certificates to the company’s representatives.
