Transneft North has taken part in preliminary job placement of Ukhta State Technical University (USTU) graduates at an annual job fair.
The 4th annual job fair took place on 1 June 2018 at Burevestnik sports arena in Ukhta. Each of the 500 students that participated in the event had the opportunity to become familiar with the Company’s operation, have a job interview and submit a CV and a questionnaire for further employment.
At the job fair, the students could also arrange for an internship and receive information about the most wanted professions.
Transneft North annually takes part in USTU’s job fair to subsequently offer promising careers in the sector to successful students. USTU is the main source of young engineering talent for Transneft North; the Company currently employs 2,747 people, more than 600 of whom, (i.e. almost a quarter) graduated from the Ukhta university. Altogether, over 2,000 alumni of the university work for Transneft.
The participants showed great interest in Transneft North’s activities and its vacancies all through the event: within 6 hours the Company’s professionals received 67 CVs and 79 completed questionnaires. The documents shall be considered and selected by HR section for further cooperation. Some of the applicants will receive job offers in the nearest future, while the rest will be entered into Transneft North’s talent pool.
At Transneft, the young professional status is given to employees aged below 30, with higher or secondary vocational education who studied full-time and were recruited by Transneft subsidiaries no later than three years after their graduation. The young professional status lasts for three years after joining the Company and ends with a certification.
Young professionals receive benefits and compensations; in the case of job relocation, moving expenses are paid by the Company, workers are provided corporate housing or reimbursed up to 90% of housing rent.
