Transneft North Claims 2nd Place in Team Standings of Best in Profession Contest among Transneft Subsidiaries

The employees of Transneft North have won second place in the overall team standings based on the results of the final round of the 19th Best in Profession professional skills contest among Transneft subsidiaries.

 

The competitions were hosted by Transneft Volga Region in Samara on 1-4 July 2019, at several venues – the Novokuibyshevsk Educational Complex, the Central Production Service Shop, and the Samara site.

 

The contest brought together 212 employees from 19 subsidiaries of the Company. According to the results, the best representatives of 13 blue-collar jobs in the oil pipeline industry were identified: commodity loading operators, chemical analysis laboratory assistants, electric and gas welders, petroleum products pumping station (PPPS) operators, instrumentation and automation fitters, processing units repairmen, line pipeliners, commodity loading operators (petroleum products), chemical analysis laboratory assistants (petroleum products), electrical equipment repair and maintenance fitters, truck drivers and security guards.

 

The awards were presented by Boris Korol, Vice President of Transneft. “The Company views contests as a step on the way to reaching professional excellence. Sizable funding is annually invested in the personnel training and upskilling system, and we are eager to find out the results in the field. I always keep saying that participants of the Best in Profession contest make the golden link of the entire Transneft system,” Boris Korol said.

The winners and the prize-winners of the 19th professional skills contest among the employees of Transneft from Transneft North are:

The contest participants demonstrated theoretical knowledge and passed practical tests. The names of the contest winners and prize-winners were announced at the awards ceremony on 4 July 2019.

 

To crown the closing ceremony of the 19th Best in Profession professional excellence contest, the mascot of the contest – the golden barrel – was handed over to Transneft Siberia which will host the final round in Tyumen in 2020.
