Aleksandra Yudina, a chemical analysis laboratory assistant of the operational environmental monitoring service of the Ukhta Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate of Transneft North has taken 1st place at the International Competition of Scientific, Technical, and Innovative Developments in the Fuel, Energy and Extractive Industries.
The awards ceremony was part of the VII Russian International Energy Forum held on 25–28 June 2019 in the city of St. Petersburg.
The contest committee highly appreciated Aleksandra Yudina’s work titled “Assessment of the Possibility of Determining Pressure of Saturated Vapours of High Pour Point Oil According to GOST 1756-2000 and GOST 31874-2012”. The results of this research paper are already used in oil transportation, and changes to the state certification system are being prepared on their basis.
The international competition of scientific, technical and innovative developments has been held annually since 2012 under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy of Russia (organised by Tekhnologii Razvitiya). This year, 197 works were submitted to the competition from 86 companies of the following industries: oil and gas, coal and peat, electric power, renewable energy, pipeline transportation, nuclear energy and mining.
