Transneft North Completes Scheduled Repairs of Oil Trunk Pipelines

Transneft North has completed scheduled repairs at the facilities of oil pumping stations of the Usa – Ukhta and the Ukhta – Yaroslavl oil trunk pipelines (OTPs). The repairs took place as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme implemented at the Company.

The goal is to ensure reliable operation of the oil trunk pipelines of Transneft North and meet the plan in the field of oil pumping.

During a scheduled shutdown, the Company’s specialists connected the newly constructed PIG traps to a standby leg of the underwater crossing of the Vychegda River at the 309th km and 312th km of the Ukhta – Yaroslavl oil trunk pipeline in the area of responsibility of the Mikun oil pumping station, the Ukhta Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate. The works were carried out within 46 hours.

In-line inspection and disconnection of temporary PIG traps were carried out at the pressure manifold of the Zelenoborsk oil pumping station, the Usinsk RPD.  

The works were completed in full in accordance with the relevant safety requirements and Transneft’s regulations. Oil transportation through Transneft North’s oil trunk pipelines was resumed as per schedule, and oil pumping is now going on under the standard protocol.
