Transneft Youth Science and Technology Conference Ends at Transneft North

The results of the 2st stage of the 1st round of the 3rd International Transneft Youth Science and Technology Conference have been summed up in Transneft North. 65 participants including the Company’s specialists under the age of 30 and students of the Ukhta State Technical University presented research and development works to the committee.

The purpose of the event is to involve students and young specialists of Transneft North in the development and implementation of new technologies, mechanisation and automation of operations, search for solutions to environmental problems and labour and material resources saving. The conference is designed to contribute to the development of creative initiative, improvement of skills and professional growth of young specialists.

50 reports were classified into eight themed sections. The contest committee comprised of Transneft North’s Director General Rustem Islamov, heads of divisions and sections of the executive office together with representatives of the USTU assessed the scientific novelty and practical significance of works meant to solve the Company’s current operational problems.

As part of the conference, students took part in the What? Where? When? intellectual game and visited the updated interactive museum exhibition of Transneft North.

At the end of the event, 18 young specialists were initiated into oil pipeline workers. 

The winners and prize-winners of the 2nd stage of the 1st round of the 3rd International Transneft Youth Science and Technology Conference in Transneft North:

Section 1: Design, Operation, Construction and Revamping of Oil Trunk Pipelines

1st place: Pavel Bogdanov, head of the oil pipelines and tank farms operation section;

2nd place: Denis Zenkov, an engineer of the commodities and transportation section;

3rd place: Andrey Yefimovsky, foreman of the Privodino ELMD of the Privodino OPS, the Vologda RPD.

Section 2: Mechanical and Power Equipment, Corrosion Protection

1st place: Gleb Govorov, a processing units repairman of the mechanical and process equipment service section, the Usa oil pumping station of the Usa RPD;

2nd place: Aleksey Balagurovsky, a processing units repairman of the mechanical and process equipment repair and adjustment section, the Ukhta PSS of the Ukhta RPD;

3rd place: Ilya Virichev, foreman of the power equipment maintenance section of the Ukhta-1 oil pumping station of the Ukhta RPD.

Section 3: Automated Plant Control Systems; Communications

1st place: Sofya Gomonova, a commodity loading operator of the Griazovets custody transfer point of the Vologda RPD;

2nd place: Roman Kovalyov, an engineer for instrumentation and automation, Sovgut Artem, a fitter for instrumentation and automation, the repair and maintenance group, the repair and maintenance section of automation and telemechanics, automation systems of the Ukhta PPS, the Ukhta RPD.

Section 4: Industrial, Fire and Environmental Safety; Occupational Health

2nd place: Valery Medvedchikov, a processing units repairman of the maintenance section of the oil heating station of the Ukhta-1 oil pumping station, the Ukhta RPD;

SSection 5: Supervisory Control. Commodity and Transport Operations.  Metrology.

1st place: Mikhail Mikheev, a chemical analysis laboratory assistant of the oil quality control chemical laboratory, the OEMS of the Ukhta RPD;

2nd place: Nikolay Islentyev, a commodity loading operator of the Zelenoborsk pipeline metering station (PMS) of the Usa RPD;

3rd place: Vitaly Naumov, a commodity loading operator of the Ukhta PMS, the Ukhta PCS of the Ukhta RPD;

Section 6: Economics, Personnel Management and Legal Issues

1st place: Anastasia Zakharova, a software engineer specialising in IC Galaktika tasks at the IT section;

2nd place: Darya Matviychuk, an economist of the financial and economic section of the Ukhta RPD;

Section 7: New Approach Analytical and Theoretical Projects for Innovative Development of Company Activities, Technologies, Industrial and Business Processes

1st place: Iosif Chernyshenko, a vehicle repairs fitter, Alisa Popova, a technician of the Ukhta UV&SPMD (the Ukhta-1 oil pumping station’s base), the Ukhta RPD;

Section 8: Students

1st place: Denis Mikheyev, a student of the Ukhta State Technical University;

2nd place: Andrey Butorin, a student of the Ukhta State Technical University;

3rd place: Yekaterina Musakova, a student of the Ukhta State Technical University.
