Transneft North has determined the winner of the Best Occupational Safety Business Unit annual corporate competition based on 2019 performance.
The event which sums up annual performance in the field of compliance with working conditions and occupational health standards, has traditionally been timed to coincide with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, which is celebrated on 28 April.
At the first stage of the competition, business units leading in the company’s branches were identified. At the second stage, the Transneft North commission determined the winning business unit by the highest number of points scored.
Based on a remote analysis of the results, the Nyuksenitsa PS of the Vologda RPD was recognised as the best business unit for occupational health according to the results of its work in 2019; the Pechora PS of the Usinsky RPD took second place, and the operational environmental monitoring division of the Ukhta RPD seized third place.
The Best Occupational Safety Business Unit competition has been held at Transneft North since 2014. The goal is to help improve operational standards and compliance with safety requirements among employees. The geography of participants covers all the four regions of Transneft North’s operation: the Komi Republic, Arkhangelsk, Vologda and Yaroslavl Regions. Last year, the winners of the competition were announced within the Occupational Safety Day event, which was held at the Ukhta Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate. According to the 2018 results, the Chikshino PS of the Usinsk RPD was recognised as the best business unit for occupational health.
