Transneft North Employees Commemorate 75th Anniversary of Great Victory

As part of the relevant activities, Transneft North allocated funds for revamping monuments, memorials and commemorative stands. The memorable stand in the Ukhta Pochtovaya Square was completely revamped using the funds allocated by the company: a new frame was installed, information stands made of modern materials and decorative lighting were mounted.

Assistance was also allocated to local and district administrations for the repairs of the Warriors of Three Generations monument in Usinsk, installation of the Homefront Workers and Children Born in War monument in Urdom Village of Arkhangelsk Region and installation of memorial plates in Privodino Village of Arkhangelsk Region.

With the financial support of Transneft North, the To Ukhta Teachers — Participants of the Great Patriotic War memorial plaque will be installed on the building of Lyceum No. 1 of Ukhta. Teachers and graduates from this school went to the war.

Young specialists of the company repaired two memorable stands on the Oplesnina Street in Ukhta, and also recorded a video in which they recited the Do Not Forget about War poem. Children of the company`s employees also joined the literary campaign — they recited works devoted to the Great Patriotic War.

On 9 May, the management of Transneft North took part in laying flowers at the memorial dedicated to the Ukhta residents who died during the Great Patriotic War. During the war, there was a military commissariat, from where the city residents went to the front. On the eve of the Victory Day, replicas of the Soviet Victory Banner, as a tribute to respect and memory of the great feat of the winners, were raised near the premises of the company`s executive office, the Usinsk, Ukhta and Vologda RPDs.
