Transneft North has assisted in installing a memorial complex to participants of the Great Patriotic War in Privodino Settlement, Kotlassky District of Arkhangelsk Region.
The memorial consists of four granite slabs mounted on a granite podium. The area of the complex is 8 square metres. The central slab is engraved with the image of a soldier hugging his wife with a letter from the frontline, as well as with the inscription, “Glory to the warriors, the victors who returned from the war!” The remaining three slabs hold the names of 273 heroes who were residents of the region and who returned from the battlefield alive. A concrete platform lined with granite tiles is installed under the memorial. Landscaping of the area around the monument was completed, paving stones were laid.
The ceremony of opening the memorial was attended by heads of the municipalities of Kotlassky District and Privodinskoye Settlement, employees of the Privodino oil pumping station (OPS) of the Vologda Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate, as well as by residents of Privodino Settlement.
The memorial complex was constructed in the park near the obelisk monument to those who died during the war, which lists 480 surnames of the soldiers.
In 2020, as part of the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, Transneft North allocated funds for revamping monuments, memorials and commemorative stands in the regions of its operations. The memorable stand in Ukhta Pochtovaya Square was revamped: a new frame was installed, information stands made of modern materials and decorative lighting were mounted. The company also allocated assistance to repair the Three Generations of Warriors monument in Usinsk and install the Homefront Workers and Children of War monument in Urdom Settlement of Arkhangelsk Region.
